Before joining the staff of Beverly Hills Weekly, Melanie worked for a custom publishing company in the San Francisco Bay Area. She wrote, edited and fact-checked content that appeared in magazines for clients that included health care providers, universities and major league baseball teams. She contributed monthly articles about local history to Lafayette Today.
Originally from the East Bay, Melanie graduated from UC Berkeley, where she majored in music (classical voice) and covered sports for The Daily Californian.
